Private practice - Overview of roles being advertised at the start of August.

Transactional Roles:

At the beginning of August, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

Banking & Finance:  33 roles (7 with US firms, 19 with top tier international firms and 7 with national/regional firms).  13 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Corporate:  20 (3 with US firms, 13 with top tier international firms and 4 with national/regional firms). 9 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Restructuring/Insolvency*:  8 roles (1 with a US firms, 5 with international firms, 2 with City/Regional firms). 3 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Advisory Practice areas

At the beginning of August, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

Antitrust/EU/Competition: 15 roles - (7 with US firms, 6 international firms and 2 with national/regional firms). Two of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Employment - 20 roles (8 with top tier international firms, 3 with national/regional firms and 9 with City boutiques). 3 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

FS/Regulatory - 9 roles (2 with a US firm, 6 with international firms and 1 with national/regional firms). 3 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Incentives - 5 roles (4 with international firms, and 1 with a regional firm), One of the roles was new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Funds - 6 roles (3 with US firms, 3 with international firms), Three of the roles was new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Pensions - 9 roles (including one pensions lit role) - (7 with international firms and 2 with national/regional firm). There were no new roles.

Tax - 15 roles (Including 4 tax litigation) (1 with a US firm, 11 with international firms and 3 with regional/City firms). Two of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Litigation

At the beginning of August, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

Commercial Litigation - 16 roles (4 with US firms, 3 international firms, 9 with national/regional/city boutiques). Two of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Real Estate Litigation - 10 roles (6 with international firms and 4 with City Boutiques/Regional firms).  Eight of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Insurance Litigation (defendant) - 14 roles (12 with international firms, 2 with regional firms). Five of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Personal Injury (including Clinical negligence) - 3 roles (Including 2 defendant led roles) (1 with an international firms, 2 with City/Regional firm).  There were no new roles.

Specialist Litigation - 16 Roles (10 with international firms, 6 with city boutiques).  Seven of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Construction, Planning and Real Estate

At the beginning of August, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

Construction - 12 roles (1 with an international firms, 11 with national/regional/City boutiques).  Three of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Construction Litigation - 9 roles (7 with international firms, 2 with national/regional/city boutiques).  Five of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Planning - 6 roles (4 international firm, 2 national/regional firms).  Three of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.

Commercial Real Estate - 13 roles (7 with international firms and 6 with national/regional/City firms).  Two of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of July.
