Transactional Roles

At the beginning of October, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

• Banking & Finance:  40 roles (10 with US firms and 30 with top tier international firms).  16 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

• Corporate:  33 roles (7 with US firms, 20 with top tier international firms and 6 with national/regional firms). 13 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September              .

• Restructuring/Insolvency*:  6 roles (1 with a US firms, 3 with international firms, 2 with City/Regional firms). 2 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

Advisory Practice areas:

At the beginning of October, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

• Antitrust/EU/Competition: 16 roles (1 being competition lit) - (7 with US firms, 9 with international firms). 5 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

• Employment - 26 roles (3 with US firms, 8 with top tier international firms, 6 with national/regional firms and 9 with City boutiques). 9 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

• FS/Regulatory - 9 roles (3 with US firms and 6 with international firms). 4 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

• Incentives - 3 roles (2 with international firms, and 1 with a regional firm), One of the roles was new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

• Funds - 6 roles (2 with US firms, 4 with international firms), One of the roles was new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

• Pensions - 9 roles (5 with international firms and 4 with national/regional firm). Three of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

• Tax - 18 roles (Including 4 tax litigation) (4 with US firms, 10 with international firms and 4 with regional/City firms). Five of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

Litigation:

At the beginning of October, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

• Commercial Litigation - 17 roles (4 with US firms, 5 international firms, 8 with national/regional/city boutiques). Two of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

• Real Estate Litigation - 11 roles (6 with international firms and 5 with City Boutiques/Regional firms).  Five of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

• Insurance Litigation (defendant) - 14 roles (9 with international firms, 5 with regional firms). Six of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September  .

• Personal Injury (including Clinical negligence) - 6 roles (Including 2 defendant led roles) (3 with international firms, 3 with City/Regional firm).  Three of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

• Specialist Litigation - 14 Roles (8 with international firms, 6 with city boutiques).  Four of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

Construction, Planning and Real Estate:

At the beginning of October, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

• Construction - 13 roles (2 with international firms, 11 with national/regional/City boutiques).  Three of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.

• Construction Litigation - 7 roles (6 with international firms, 1 with national/regional/city boutiques).  None of the roles were new.

• Planning - 4 roles (3 international firm, 1 national/regional firms).  None of the roles were new.

• Commercial Real Estate - 15 roles (4 with international firms and 11 with national/regional/City firms).  Five of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of September.
