Transactional Roles

At the beginning of January, we identified the following number of London based roles that were being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

• Banking & Finance:  33 roles (one being a PSL roles) (nine with US firms, 23 with UK international/global firms and one with a City/regional firm).  Five of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

  
  

• Corporate:  27 roles (two being PSL roles) (five with US firms, 16 with top tier international firms and six with national/regional firms). Seven of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

  
  

• Restructuring/Insolvency:  Eight roles (two with US firms, three with international firms, three with City/Regional firms). One of the roles was new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

Advisory Practice areas:

At the beginning of January, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

• Antitrust/EU/Competition: 10 roles (including two PSL roles) (Seven with US firms and three with international firms). None of the roles were new.

  
  

• Employment - 23 roles (nine with top tier international firms, five with national/regional firms and nine with City boutiques). Five of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

  
  

• FS/Regulatory - Eight roles (two of which were PSL roles) (Two with a US firm, five with international firms and one with a City/Regional firm). None of the roles were new.

  
  

• Incentives - One roles (with a City/regional firm).  One of the roles was new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

  
  

• Funds - Six roles (one being a PSL Role) (two with US firms, four with international firms).  One of the roles was new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

  
  

• Pensions - Nine roles (one being a PSL role) (six with international firms and three with national/regional firm). Three of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

  
  

• Tax - 21 roles (Including four tax litigation) (Three with US firms, 12 with international firms and six with regional/City firms). Four of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

Litigation:

At the beginning of January, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

• Commercial Litigation - 29 roles (including two PSL roles) (two with US firms, eight with international firms, 19 with national/regional/city boutiques). 10 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

  
  

• Real Estate Litigation - Seven roles (three with international firms and four with City Boutiques/Regional firms).  One of the roles was new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

  
  

• Insurance Litigation - 18 roles (13 with international firms, five with regional firms). Eight of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December

  
  

• Personal Injury (including clinical negligence) - Four roles (Including one defendant led roles) (two with international firms, two with City/Regional firm).  Three of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

  
  

• Specialist Litigation - Nine roles (five with international firms, four with city boutiques).  Two of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

Construction, Planning and Real Estate:

At the beginning of January, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

• Construction - 11 roles (two with international firms, nine with national/regional/City boutiques).  Four of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

  
  

• Construction Litigation - Five roles (four with international firms, one with national/regional/city boutiques).  Two of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.

  
  

• Planning - Four roles (three with international firm, one with national/regional firms).  None of the roles were new.

  
  

• Commercial Real Estate - 15 roles (one with a US firm, seven with international firms and seven with national/regional/City firms).  12 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of December.
