Private Practice - Overview of roles being advertised at the start of September

Transactional Roles:

At the beginning of September, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

Banking & Finance:  39 roles (9 with US firms, 27 with top tier international firms and 3 with national/regional firms).  16 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Corporate:  23 (4 with US firms, 16 with top tier international firms and 3 with national/regional firms). 12 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Restructuring/Insolvency*:  7 roles (1 with a US firms, 4 with international firms, 2 with City/Regional firms). 3 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Advisory Practice areas:

At the beginning of September, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

Antitrust/EU/Competition: 17 roles (1 being competition lit) -  (8 with US firms, 7 international firms and 2 with national/regional firms). 3 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Employment - 24 roles (2 with top tier international firms, 9 with national/regional firms and 13 with City boutiques). 8 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

FS/Regulatory - 5 roles (1 with a US firm, 3  with international firms and 1 with national/regional firms). 2 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Incentives - 2 roles (4 with international firms, and 1 with a regional firm), None of the roles were new.

Funds - 5 roles (2 with US firms, 3 with international firms), One of the roles was new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Pensions - 9 roles (including one pensions lit role) (7 with international firms and 2 with national/regional firm). Two of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Tax - 15 roles (Including 4 tax litigation) (3 with US firms, 8 with international firms and 4 with regional/City firms). Four of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Litigation:

At the beginning of September, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

Commercial Litigation - 26 roles (6 with US firms, 9 international firms, 11 with national/regional/city boutiques). 11 of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Real Estate Litigation - 9 roles (5 with international firms and 4 with City Boutiques/Regional firms).  Four of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Insurance Litigation (defendant) - 16 roles (12 with international firms, 4 with regional firms). Six of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Personal Injury (including Clinical negligence) - 6 roles (Including 2 defendant led roles) (3 with international firms, 3 with City/Regional firm).  Four of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Specialist Litigation - 14 Roles (9 with international firms, 5 with city boutiques).  Seven of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Construction, Planning and Real Estate

At the beginning of September, we identified the following number of London based roles being advertised by law firms on their careers’ pages in the below practice areas:

Construction - 15 roles (4 with international firms, 11 with national/regional/City boutiques).  Four of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Construction Litigation - 10 roles (8 with international firms, 2 with national/regional/city boutiques).  Two of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Planning - 7 roles (3 international firm, 4 national/regional firms).  Three of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.

Commercial Real Estate - 15 roles (1 with a US firm, 4 with international firms and 10 with national/regional/City firms).  Three of the roles were new, having been added to the firms’ careers’ site since the beginning of August.
